Planting Spiritual Seeds

The children were busy on Sunday being creative.  They were planting spiritual seeds.  You know, it’s that time of year to begin thinking about planting seeds.  They are already into it, and enjoying it.  Thanks, Melodie!

Design Your Own Memorial Service

DESIGN YOUR OWN MEMORIAL

WORKSHOP

January 16th & the 23rd

2-Sunday afternoon Sessions

12:30 to 2:30 pm

This is a fun opportunity to creatively address a serious subject:  defining who you are and how you want to be remembered.  Design your own epitaph and memorial service – and influence the memories your loved ones have of you.  Consider the music selections, readings and atmosphere of the party in which your life is celebrated. Where? What? How?

(More and more memorials are being held while
the person honored is still living – it’s an option!)

Join Revs. Nancy & Joanne two Sunday afternoons to play
and be creative in addressing this important issue!

Come to the first meeting with a draft of your epitaph!

Design Your Own Affirming Movement Routine after the Sunday Service – at the Banks Building:

Jan 2,2011from 12:30 – 1:30  ($10, plus $5 Lunch)

Learn how to integrate centering affirmations like “I am” and “I trust” with the warm up movements, energizing affirmations like “I am loved” and “I am free” with cardio, strengthening, flexibility and balance movements and releasing affirmations such as “I forgive” and “I release fear” with the cool down.  Knowing affirmations are repeated during the relaxation portion.

Affirmations spoken during your workouts are an exciting new way to bring your mind, body and being to their highest good.  You can add this empowering technique to your existing exercise routine or you can create an enjoyable workout that you will look forward to doing.

Ellie Peterson is author of Meditative Movements book and creator of Power of Positive Aerobics DVD and as a speaker she inspires people of all ages to affirm themselves as they move.  She has been practicing for over 30 years.
